My grandmother had two hard and fast rules. #1 - Get dressed, even if you're going to the mailbox. #2 - Put on some earrings. It will make you feel and look better. Now while I know that life isn't always that simple, I believe grandma was on to something. When you get up and determine to prepare yourself for the day, you are able to attack life with more confidence. You are able to tackle things head on without the added challenge of figuring out what you look like. I've lived by these two rules for years. My girls will tell you that I ask them every day, "where are your earrings?" There's just something about feeling and looking like you are completely ready to go forward.
